Since the 80's, the Gamma Phi Beta Dallas Alumnae Chapter has supported various local and national organizations in our fundraising efforts. Just last year, we raised over $7800 for Camp Esperanza and Camp Fire USA, which are two very special organizations to us.
Camp Esperanza is a unique summer camping experience for children between the ages of 6 and 15 who currently have cancer or have been treated for cancer at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. During the one-week camp, kids can just be kids, while still maintaining their medical and health care needs. "Esperanza", the Spanish word for "Hope", is what Camp is all about - giving and sharing Hope.
Camp Fire USA - Lone Star Council is a youth development agency that provides programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 21 in the Greater Dallas area, including after-school programs for young children, leadership, workforce and development programs for teens, family strengthening programs and weekend and summer camping programs.
Each November the Gamma Phi Beta Dallas Alumnae Chapter hosts its annual Founder's Day Brunch and Silent Auction. Each year we strive to raise more and more to benefit Camp Esperanza and Camp Fire USA. We ask for your help in these fundraising efforts, whether you are an alumna, or just a member of the community.
